Wordless Wednesday: Memorial Day

This is a photograph of my late father-in-law, whom I never had a chance to meet. John R. Evans served in the Air Force for 20 years and in the civil service for 11 years at the Department of Defense Dog Center. This photograph was taken in the mid-1950’s, while he served with the security police. The dog’s name was King.

If you have a picture you’d like to share, join us for Wordless Wednesday at Ruby for Women and Create With Joy. The theme this week is Memorial Day. Have a wonderful day!

  1. A wonderful photo, Judith. I hope we, as a nation, never stop honoring our servicemen and women.
